Privacy policy

This is a plain-English template, not legal advice. It should be reviewed for your situation (for example GDPR or CCPA) before launch.

The short version

• If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address only to tell you about FillAndCheck.
• The FillAndCheck extension stores your resume and profile on your own computer, not on our servers.
• We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

1. Waitlist emails

When you join the waitlist we collect your email address. We use it only to send launch news, the founding-price offer and important product updates. Signups are handled by our form provider Netlify Forms, which stores the email on our behalf. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or ask us to delete your email by contacting us.

2. The FillAndCheck extension (planned)

FillAndCheck is a Chrome extension in development. As designed:

• Stored locally. Your resume and the profile details taken from it (such as name, contact details, work history and education) are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. We do not upload them to our servers.
• Used for one purpose. That data is used only to fill job application forms when you click the extension.
• Limited sites. The extension runs only on supported job application sites (such as Workday, Greenhouse and Lever).
• You stay in control. The extension never submits an application for you. You can edit or delete your saved profile at any time, and uninstalling the extension removes it.
• Licence check. If you buy a licence, we may check your licence key with our payment or licensing provider. This doesn't involve your resume.

If we ever add an optional feature that sends data off your device (for example AI help with resume parsing), we'll explain it clearly and ask for your permission first, and we'll update this policy.

3. Payments

Payments will be processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your full card number. The provider's own privacy policy applies to the payment information you give them.

4. What we don't do

• We don't sell, rent or trade your personal data.
• We don't use your data for advertising or share it with advertisers.
• We don't use your resume to train AI models.

5. Website

This website is hosted by Netlify, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security. We don't use advertising cookies.

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live you may have more rights under local law.

7. Children

FillAndCheck is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the effective date above, and we'll tell waitlist members and users about important changes.
